Once TiviMate is installed, the real magic happens in the configuration. Unlike basic players, TiviMate offers a deep level of customization that allows you to mimic a professional satellite or cable interface. Follow these steps to set up your service and optimize your viewing.

Step 1: Connecting Your IPTV Service

TiviMate is a "player," meaning it does not come with built-in channels. You must provide your own service credentials.

  1. Launch the App: Select Add Playlist from the main welcome screen.

  2. Choose Your Method:

    • Xtream Codes (Recommended): Enter your Server URL, Username, and Password provided by your service. This method is superior for keeping your channel list and VOD categories synchronized.

    • M3U Playlist: Enter the specific URL link provided by your provider.

  3. Finalize Setup: Give your playlist a name (e.g., "StreamSurfers") and click Done. TiviMate will now begin downloading your channels and TV guide (EPG) data.

Step 2: Organizing Your Channel List

Most IPTV services come with thousands of channels. Organization is essential for a seamless experience.

  • Manage Groups: Long-press the Select/OK button to bring up the side menu. Go to Settings > Playlists > [Your Playlist] > Manage Groups. Here, you can hide categories you don’t watch (like international channels or adult content) to keep your guide clean.

  • Set Up Favorites: To add a channel to your Favorites, highlight it and long-press the Select button. Select the Star icon. Your "Favorites" group will now appear at the top of your list for instant access.

  • Reorder Channels: Inside the Manage Positions menu, you can move your most-watched channels to the very top of your list (Positions 1, 2, and 3).

Step 3: Optimizing the TV Guide (EPG)

A functioning Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is what makes TiviMate feel like a premium service.

  • Time Offset: If your guide shows the correct show but at the wrong time, go to Settings > EPG and adjust the Time Offset to match your local time zone.

  • EPG Updates: Set the app to Update on App Start and Update on Playlist Change to ensure you always have the most current schedules.

  • Past Days to Keep: In the settings, ensure you keep at least 2–3 days of EPG data. This allows you to use the Catch-up feature to watch shows you may have missed.

Step 4: Advanced Premium Features

If you have TiviMate Premium, you can unlock professional-grade tools:

  • Multiview: Watch up to 4 channels at once on a single screen—perfect for tracking multiple live sports games.

  • Recording: TiviMate allows you to record live TV directly to your device's storage or a networked drive (NAS).

  • Parental Controls: You can lock specific groups or channels with a PIN to ensure a safe viewing environment for the family.

Pro-Tips for Maximum Stability

  • Auto Start: Enable Auto start on boot and Turn on last channel on app start in the General settings for a seamless "TV-on" experience.

  • Clear Cache: If you experience slow loading, go to your device settings (outside of TiviMate) and clear the app's cache to free up memory.

  • Stable Connection: For 4K and buffer-free HD streaming, a minimum internet speed of 30–50 Mbps is recommended.
